As a lifelong naturalist, Kaufman has authored and edited several field guides and books on insects and birds. He is also a talented artist, a field editor for Audubon Magazine and a regular columnist in Birds & Blooms.
Kaufman will be in Charlottesville to co-lead this bird walk before heading to James Monroe’s Highland to talk about his most recent book, “The Birds That Audubon Missed” from 1 to 2:30 PM as part of the Virginia Festival of the Book.
