    PVBC Field Trip–Dutch Gap (optional lunch after)

    Field Trip Leader:

    Visit a location prized in the birding community for great duck viewing opportunities in the winter season–Dutch Gap in Chesterfield County  near Richmond (Dutch Gap info)  Becky Fales will serve as our fearless leader.  Carpooling encouraged, we’ll meet at 9 at the park.  (Some of the boardwalk-type trails appear to be wheelchair / walker accessible, but please inquire to the park directly to double-check re:  specific questions about accessibility).  Since Richmond is home to some Ethiopian restaurants and Charlottesville is sadly lacking in those, birders can  self-organize to go have an Ethiopian lunch afterwards to celebrate their sightings and warm up.  We suggest that carpools form on a staying/ not-staying for lunch basis.
