Charlotte Lorick is the Program Coordinator for Virginia Working Landscapes, a Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute research program that promotes the conservation of native biodiversity and sustainable land-use through research, education and community engagement. The presentation will focus on several native plant species and how they can provide food and habitat for birds here in Virginia. It will include resources and suggestions for how to get start incorporating them into your own yards.
