The Rivanna Master Naturalists (RMN), who love getting out in nature, would like to provide events that make nature accessible and safe for all regardless of mobility, hearing, seeing, or any other challenges. If you feel hesitant or concerned about your own safety when venturing out, THIS EVENT IS DESIGNED WITH YOU IN MIND!!
Piedmont Virginia Bird Club has partnered with RMN to host a birding walk — Join us Saturday, Oct. 19, at 9 am at Riverview Park. Club members will lead the walk to point out birds to participants. We’ll also provide binoculars and help you learn how to use them. We will move at a speed designed to accommodate those who have to move at their own pace. Riverview Park is flat enough for wheelchairs, has handicapped parking, and a handicapped porta-potty. The trail has many benches for those needing to rest.
