Help reverse the decline in songbird populations by making your home’s landscape more environmentally friendly for pollinators. Insects, especially caterpillars, are a critical food source for songbirds. A few simple changes in our gardening practices can increase both bird and insect populations. Leigh Surdukowski, Master Gardener, will give tips for creating a healthy landscape. Topics covered include: saving leaves, removing invasive species, shrinking lawns, planting keystone native plants, using groundcovers and adding water features.
