For PVBC’s April monthly meeting, board members Callan Bentley and Cory Swift will lead an hour-long, in-person eBird 101 workshop at Ivy Creek Natural Area.
This workshop will cover various parts of the eBird website and mobile app including:
- All things checklists including trip reports, setting locations, entering observations (including rarities), best practices and tips, adding other birders and more
- How to use eBird to find good birding spots, target species, rare bird alerts and recent reports from other birders
- Profile settings, privacy and data management
- How to tap into advanced eBird data tools
- Briefly cover some best practices for Merlin ID
Participants are encouraged to bring their own devices to follow along. Please charge your devices ahead of the presentation, as outlets are limited.
