This message was developed by the MBC board after being contacted by a private landowner. You may have also seen this on Facebook, and bird alert, and we will be discussing it at our next meeting. This is worth over-communicating so that we are sure to reach every birder in the area.
Lone Oak Farm is no longer open to unscheduled visits.
Do not visit this farm unless you are a member of a group that has made advance arrangements with the owner. If you do go to this farm as a member of a group, do not make references to birds that reside there on FaceBook, eBird, listserves or any other computer sites following your visit.
MBC strongly urges members to never be on private property without permission and firmly asks that members who are on private property with permission act responsibly at all times. This includes driving slowly, being respectful of farm/work operations, and if the opportunity presents, introducing yourself to the owners and greeting them politely.
