Highlights: 3 Golden Eagles – our target bird!
Comments: It was a lovely day of birding. Our small group fit in a two car caravan — making navigating Highland’s winding roads relatively easy. The +1 bird we observed was a Hairy Woodpecker at the Confederate Breastworks, just after we crossed the Highland County line on our way back to Charlottesville.
