Brave Bob Letts joined shivering Field Trip Leader Leigh on this icy morning walk in Pen Park. (Many other MBC’ers were concurrently battling the cold in the Dept. of Forestry warehouse. We apologize to Leigh for having inadvertently scheduled a field trip on the morning of Pick Up Day for our Bird Seed Sale. That, in combination with the icy temperature, accounted for the atypically meager trip turn-out.) However, Leigh and Bob bravely battled the conditions and were rewarded by spotting an impressive twenty-nine species, including a phoebe and several Chipping Sparrows.
