Esteemed local bird photographer and author, Marshall Faintich, recently emailed MBC President, Doug Rogers, about offering a bird photography class to interested MBC members. His email to Doug is as follows:
I have decided to offer a two-hour class on bird photography to bird clubs. I presented this class a couple of times a few years ago to the Osher Life-long Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Virginia, and have updated the class presentation.
The size of the class would be as many people that you have who want to attend, and my fee is $200 for the entire group. All I would need is for your club to provide the meeting place, laptop projector, and screen.
Marshall has been a featured speaker at several MBC Monthly Meetings over the years. He is a frequent poster on the Monticello Bird Alert. If you’re not already a Marshall Faintich bird photography groupie (many an MBC birder his improved his/her birding ID skills by studying Marshall’s fantastic photos), you can spend many an hour pouring over his gorgeous and most prolific photography collections at http://faintich.net/.
Should you be interested in taking a bird photography class taught by Marshall, please contact Doug Rogers through this website address, [email protected] or Doug’s personal email, [email protected]. If there is enough interest, Doug will be in touch with Marshall and publicize a class date and time. Stay tuned.
