Thank you to everyone who was a subscriber to the Monticello Bird Club Email Alert. We appreciate everyone sharing their findings over the years.
However, due to a lack of use in recent months, we have realized that club members are going to Facebook or using the eBird rare alert system to learn about local rare birds in our area. As a result, we are going to discontinue this email alert group.
If you are not already signed up for the email alerts through eBird, all you need to do is create an account with Cornell and then go here to sign up for alerts: https://ebird.org/alerts.
Not only can you get rare bird alerts, but you can also set up a “needs alert” which will let you know if there’s a bird you haven’t seen yet this year that has been found in our area.
