Club member Dr. Stauffer Miller recently published a book on his birding travels to Mexico titled, Wings Across the Border: An American’s Travels to See Mexico’s Birds. From the publisher’s page:
In 1986, Stauffer Miller and his wife, Ellie, traveled to Mexico for the first time. Since they already had an interest in birds, they renewed that interest once there. Thereafter they continued to travel to that country with birds as a prime focus. Since there have been few books devoted to travel to Mexico to see its birds, the book fills a niche and should be well received. In essence, it is both a travel and a birding book. The book also emphasizes the warmth of the Mexican people as experienced by Stauffer and Ellie in their travels. And, too, it points out situations in which bird conservation in Mexico is needed.
The book is available now on Amazon and from other retailers. Congratulations Dr. Miller!
