November 3, November club meeting.
November 7, First Saturday bird walk at Ivy Creek.
Membership: Chair, Scott Connuck reported that the club has 168 paid members, which is slightly ahead of last year’s 165 members on this date.
Programs: Myrlene Staten, program chair, encouraged club members to share their pandemic bird watching experiences, favorite birding spots, or interaction with birds, as examples, for the December meeting program. Members wishing to participate with a five minute presentation should email Myrlene at [email protected] .
Myrlene then introduced Joel Merriman of the American Bird Conservancy who spoke about Bird-Smart Wind Energy. More than half a million birds are killed by wind turbines every year.
The meeting was adjourned and the Zoom call ended at 8:15 PM.
