-President Doug Rogers opened the final meeting of the 2018-19 season by announcing that the business meeting would be brief in order to allow enough time for the Photo Contest program.
-Treasurer Maynard Davis announced that this was Doug Rogers’ last meeting as President. Doug has served in this office for five years, prior to that as MBC Treasurer, and even before that as Newsletter Editor. He plans to serve next year as Publicity Chair. Doug is a gifted photographer, and we look forward to enjoying his pictures of birds and other wildlife on the Monticello Bird Club Facebook page. In appreciation of his many years of service the MBC board decided to present Doug with a lifetime membership to the club and a gift certificate to Brian Parsons Photography.
-Maynard also reported that the club currently has a budget surplus of $1,300 and the Priscilla Kingston memorial fund has been paid.
-Myrlene Staten and others wore some of the MBC clothing items from Land’s End including t-shirts and ball caps with the club’s logo.
-Members enjoyed pastries and hot drinks provided by Hospitality Chair Patty Kalbfleisch during the Photo Contest Judging program.
