    Field Trip Report – Green Springs Historical District

    Trip Name/Location: Green Springs Historical District – Louisa County
    Date: January 20, 2018
    Leader(s): Teresa Shaner
    Weather: Beautifully warm and sunny.  Temps dropped at dusk.  Glorious sunset.
    Total Attendance (including leaders): 25

    Comments:  25 people showed up in Louisa to see 5 Short-eared Owls hunting over the fields. It was a beautiful 60 degree day. Other highlights included a four Tundra Swan flyover, Northern Harriers, and  American Kestrels. Wish we had a photo of the silhouetted Short-Eared Owl flying in front of the dazzling pinks and oranges of  the glowing sunset.  Thanks to Teresa Shaner for leading the trip.
