MBC needs one or two people to volunteer to Chair (or Co-chair) our next fall Bird Seed Sale.
MBC gets our excellent bird seed from the Ohio-based LIZZIE MAE company
The Bird Seed Sale is our only fund-raiser for the year, and MBC members and our community depend on us to provide excellent seed (thanks, Lizzie Mae ) for their fall and winter bird-feeding pleasure. Now, we need to depend on one (or more) of you to head the operation.
For the past two years, John Holden, Doug Rogers, and especially Maynard Davis have taken on the leadership job, and managed it with grace and aplomb. Starting in late summer, a new Chair will begin his/her duties. There is a job description document that outlines duties from mid-summer through the completion of the sale in November (this year’s pick up day will be Sat., Nov.11). Plus, Maynard, Doug, and John will be more than willing to mentor and assist the new Chair in whatever way possible, but they have served and now deserve to pass along the managerial role to a willing volunteer from the Club.
